Position Overview
The Quality Lead is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive quality assurance processes across the organization. This role requires a strategic mindset to drive quality excellence throughout the software development lifecycle while ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement organization-wide quality strategies, policies, and standards
- Create quality roadmaps aligned with business objectives and product development cycles
- Establish quality metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks for continuous improvement
- Lead quality planning sessions and collaborate with stakeholders to define quality requirements
Process Development & Improvement
- Design and optimize quality assurance processes across all development phases
- Implement quality gates and checkpoints throughout the SDLC
- Establish code review processes, testing standards, and release criteria
- Drive process automation and efficiency improvements
- Conduct regular process audits and implement corrective actions
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, testers, and quality analysts
- Provide technical guidance and career development opportunities for team members
- Manage resource allocation and capacity planning for quality activities
- Foster a culture of quality consciousness across development teams
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback
Quality Assurance & Testing Oversight
- Oversee test strategy development and execution across multiple projects
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage including functional, non-functional, and regression
