Join our team of CPE (Customer Premise Equipment) Engineers to support the design, implementation, and optimization of the customer premise equipment used to support TeIecommunications Infrastructure services. This multi-year project will be a great way to join the Randstad team and work with other telecom professionals on an exciting project for years to come.

responsibilities:
Job Duties
- Evaluate CPE (Customer Premise Equipment) designs about the critical infrastructure and service needs for the network.
- Plan and design CPE to support both legacy and modern telcomm services network solutions.
- Implement solutions that support customer requirements.
- Participate in after action reviews to resolve technical challenges.
- Create and maintain documentation for engineering and NOC teams.
- Identify areas of opportunity for automation and network optimization.
- Manage the CPE design release workflow to meet the implementation schedule.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or equivalent of a 4-year accredited degree in a technical discipline.
- Degree and minimum 4 years of prior WAN Telecommunications networks experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior WAN.
- Telecommunications networks experience.
- Highly motivated and capable of developing and following detailed instructions and action plans.
- Ability to work in a team environment and is self-directed and self-motivated.
- Project management skills capable of adhering to deadlines and completing tasks per project schedule.
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Office software applications.
- Knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings and technical procedures.
- Domain knowledge of the Telecommunications industry, including carrier services, provisioning terminology, CISCO routers and network infrastructure and IP technologies such as Pseudowire and Ethernet switching.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance security clearance .
- No degree is required with a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Telecommunications

Desired Skills & Experience
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to design, implement and support Ethernet and TDM network infrastructures.
- Knowledge of IP technologies such as Pseudowire and Ethernet switching.
- Experience with leading network vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, Fujitsu and RAD.
- Experience with database modeling software such as MetaSolv.
- Familiarity with drawing tools such as AutoCAD.
