About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with experience in .NET technologies to join our team. This role focuses on backend development, SOAP-based services, and batch processing in a hybrid cloud environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions in an agile setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using .NET Framework and C#.
- Build and support SOAP-based WCF services and legacy service integrations.
- Develop and maintain backend batch jobs and service orchestration.
- Collaborate with product owners to define and decompose requirements into actionable tasks.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and delivery.
- Write and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Support integration of subsystems and troubleshoot complex production issues.
- Identify automation opportunities in manual processing workflows.
- Contribute to cloud migration and modernization efforts (PCF/Cloud experience a plus).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of professional experience in backend development using C#, .NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET, and MVC.
- Experience with WCF and SOAP-based web services in transactional environments.
- Proficiency in SQL (stored procedures, CRUD operations, indexing).
- Experience with XML, XSLT, and data transformation.
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (e.g., NUnit, MSTest).
- Agile development experience as part of a Scrum team.
- Strong problem-solving skills in both production and non-production environments.
- Experience with legacy systems requiring high availability and low latency.
- Financial services or retirement plan domain knowledge.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), containers, or similar.
- Exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, LoadRunner).
