Customer Support Technician
Apex Systems has an immediate need for a Customer Support Technician!! This will be a 6+ Month Long Term Contract supporting one of our large commercial clients in Virginia Beach, VA. Please see below for all details!

Job Description
  • Respond to end-user phone, email, or chat requests for support to resolve basic computer, application, system, device, access, or performance issues.
  • Ensures computer equipment and software is running properly.
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs problems with PC hardware and software.
  • Configure new computers, peripherals and mobile devices.
  • Installs new software on computers and mobile devices.
  • Responds to helpdesk calls and emails in a timely manner.
  • Provide supervisors or specialists with notes regarding the problem, steps they have already taken to resolve the issue, and their diagnosis of the users problem.
  • Support users by performing system tests and updates after they complete their troubleshooting and necessary repair.
  • Creates and updates support tickets per defined service-level agreements using the ticketing system.
  • Advise users on the methods, steps, and actions to resolve and avoid future issues and provides documentation as needed.
  • Support installs or upgrades of software or devices, set up user profiles, or reset passwords.


Requirements
  • 2+ years of Customer Service or Call Center Support experience
  • 1+ year of Entry Level IT experience (Basic Hardware/Software navigation and troubleshooting knowledge)
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
