Job Summary:
NextGen Software Solutions is seeking a visionary and experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the design and governance of enterprise-wide technology solutions for a major financial services client in Berkeley Heights, NJ. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of business acumen, technical expertise, and strategic thinking to align IT architecture with business goals. This is a critical onsite leadership role requiring collaboration across business and IT stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy, roadmap, and standards across business units.
- Define and enforce architecture governance processes, frameworks, and design patterns.
- Provide leadership in evaluating and selecting technology solutions, platforms, and vendors.
- Work with business and IT leaders to align architecture strategy with organizational goals.
- Guide solution architects and development teams during system design and implementation.
- Conduct architecture reviews and assess technology risks, opportunities, and alignment with enterprise standards.
- Establish reference architectures and reusable frameworks to accelerate delivery and innovation.
- Lead cloud transformation, modernization, integration, and data initiatives.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and assess their relevance to enterprise strategy.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 12+ years of progressive experience in IT with at least 5+ years in architecture leadership roles.
- Strong background in application, data, infrastructure, and security architecture domains.
- Proven experience in designing cloud-native and hybrid architectures (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Deep understanding of microservices, APIs, containers, event-driven architecture, and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with banking/financial services environments and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with architecture modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Sparx EA, Visio) and frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman).
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture certification.
- Experience with enterprise integration platforms (MuleSoft, Apigee, Kafka).
- Background in data governance, master data management (MDM), or AI/ML integration.
- Experience driving enterprise digital transformation and legacy modernization.
