Pay Range: $110-140K (flexible) + PTO & Benefits

Job Overview:
The Project Engineer II will perform a variety of routine engineering tasks, providing exposure to company practices, tools, and standards. This role requires a growing level of independence in executing engineering assignments and involves working closely with teams to support substation, solar, wind, and battery storage projects. The position is onsite initially, with the potential for a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of plans, specifications, and inspection reports.
- Prepare material lists and labor contracts.
- Support the creation of construction drawings for solar, wind, battery storage, and substation projects.
- Provide direction to designers and CAD operators.
- Support material purchasing and basic contract administration.
- Participate in customer and vendor interactions.
- Perform tasks related to physical layout, protection/control/SCADA, relay settings, field support, commissioning, and relay testing.
- Train and supervise Project Engineers I.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook for project tasks.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
- 2-5 years of applicable engineering experience.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Experience supporting substation or renewables engineering (AC/DC, low/medium/high voltage systems).
- Ability to work onsite (initially 5 days/week, then hybrid).
- Passed PE exam.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers.
- Familiarity with solar, wind, or BESS interconnection design.
