The Data Quality and Control Executive team supports Data Strategy Management Executive business partners by ensuring:

- Adherence to Enterprise Policy and Standards
- Adoption of Authorized Data Sources
- Coordination of data incident remediation
- Compliance with data retention policies
- Monitoring of authorized data transport controls
Location: Charlotte, NC - 3 days a week
Rate: $63hr on w2
Position Summary
This role involves close collaboration with business and technology teams to:
- Understand and document data usage within authorized data sources and domains
- Identify data elements used in reporting and trace their flow back to originating systems
- Write and store metadata definitions in the local metadata repository
- Develop Data Quality rules to ensure data meets business requirements
- Capture Data Lineage flows manually and via automated tools
- Apply Data Quality metrics for monthly executive reporting
Key responsibilities include building relationships with business and tech managers to gain insights into critical reporting data and facilitate collaboration with developers and analysts. Technical proficiency in SQL and database structures is essential for fulfilling end-to-end data requirements.
Primary Skills
- Data management and architecture: Understanding of metadata, data quality, and governance
- Knowledge of the data lifecycle: From capture to regulatory provisioning
- Strong grasp of technology architecture
- Understanding of data controls at file/feed/interface and object levels
- Ability to assess data quality for key attributes and interfaces
- Knowledge of metadata management (technical and business)
- Experience in technology data discovery and system lineage documentation
- Process and flow analysis and creation
- Collaboration with technology stakeholders on application architecture and controls
- Advanced Excel skills: VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Data Analysis, Calculations, Formatting
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation)
- Ability to bridge technology and business requirements
- Adaptability to changing daily requirements
- Knowledge of financial regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., AML, OFAC, sanctions)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Data modeling and architecture experience
- Ability to interpret programming code (DDL, DML) into metadata
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Expertise in relational databases and SQL
- Familiarity with Consumer, Small Business, and Wealth Management environments
- Liaison experience for testing partners and business counterparts
- Coordination of testing efforts across onsite and offshore teams
- Ensuring testing quality practices are followed
- Understanding of testing phases in the data lifecycle
