Job Title: Senior D365 Finance & Operations (FinOps) Implementation Consultant

About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established Microsoft Dynamics partner with deep ERP expertise, is supporting a large enterprise customer transitioning into Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 FO). Due to post-go-live challenges, they are seeking a highly experienced Senior FinOps Consultant to stabilize, optimize, and take ownership of Inventory, Procurement, and Operational processes.
This is not a junior, offshore, or learning role. The ideal consultant will have 10 20+ years of Dynamics experience and the confidence to step into a complex environment immediately.
Client Environment
- Large enterprise organization (~250 users)
- Operations across North America, with sites in Mexico
- Finance modules are largely stable
- Major pain points are in Inventory Management and Operations
Role Overview
As a Senior D365 FO Consultant, you will:
- Take ownership of post-implementation stabilization
- Analyze existing configuration and resolved/open issues
- Work closely with business stakeholders to address operational gaps
- Provide leadership, confidence, and clarity to a large enterprise client
You will receive:
- Full handover (tickets, DevOps repositories, documentation, task lists)
- Support from an experienced internal FinOps development team
- A partner organization that values quality over cost
Key Responsibilities
- Lead post-go-live support and enhancement for D365 Finance & Operations
- Stabilize and optimize:
- Inventory Management
- Procurement & Supply Chain
- Operational processes
- Review and assess existing configurations (primarily standard with minor customizations)
- Analyze historical tickets, open issues, and DevOps codebase
- Resolve operational pain points and improve system performance
- Communicate clearly with senior client stakeholders
- Provide functional leadership and best-practice guidance
- Participate in onsite visits as required (USA, Canada, Mexico)
Required Skills & Experience
- 10 20+ years experience with Microsoft Dynamics (AX / D365 FO)
- Deep hands-on functional expertise in:
- Inventory Management
- Procurement & Supply Chain (SCM)
- Operations within D365 FO
- Strong functional consulting background (technical awareness a plus)
- Experience supporting large enterprise environments (200+ users)
- Proven success stabilizing post-go-live or struggling implementations
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and take ownership quickly
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and leadership teams
Nice to Have
- Spanish language skills (preferred, not required)
