Database Specialist

Our client is looking to add a Database Specialist that will join our clients Claims Center of Excellence team that supports an established and growing business community for their claims-processing platform. You will use your claims processing knowledge and technical experience to define applications requirements and then test solutions. You will act as the liaison between the business user community and the technical team delivering applications.

Responsibilities:

• Improve healthcare claims processing through automation and process improvement.
• Develop a deep understanding of existing business and applications processes.
• Support business users by triaging, troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving claims processing issues.
• Modernize Legacy Data Systems: Employ strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, extract, and cleanse historical data from complex and potentially outdated Microsoft Access applications.
• Data Enthusiast: Demonstrate a passion for data, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to data quality and accuracy.
• Adherence to Best Practices: Champion the implementation of modern data architecture and data governance principles throughout the data migration process.

Requirements:

• Experience in healthcare/health insurance market
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server)
• Proficient in writing complex queries (T-SQL) to extract, filter, and manipulate data
• Deep understanding of MS Access database structures (tables, queries, forms, reports, macros)
• Familiarity with VBA programming for automating tasks and enhancing Access functionality
• Solid grasp of the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) methodology
• Ability to design and implement ETL workflows to migrate data between Access and other systems
