Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (flexible start time as early as 6:00 AM)
Some overtime may be available based on business needs.

Pay:
$28.00 - $38.00 per hour (based on experience)

Position Summary

The Sr. Mechanical Technician (System Integration) will be part of the Systems Group, responsible for integrating laser beam delivery systems, motion platforms, and controls into customer-ready solutions. This role involves transforming assembled systems into fully functional machines, preparing them for final testing and customer acceptance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Integrate, debug, and test precision mechanical, electrical, and optical subassemblies into complex systems
  • Configure computer systems with customer-specific hardware and software
  • Perform initial setup, alignment, and verification of precision assemblies
  • Assist in creating documentation and work instructions for new products or subassemblies
  • Provide feedback to engineering on documentation improvements
  • Complete ERP work order paperwork for job processing and costing
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
  • Strong mechanical and pneumatics skills required
  • Electrical experience is a plus, but not required
  • Proficiency with hand tools, light power tools, and electrical measurement tools
  • Ability to interpret schematics and component datasheets
  • Experience with CAD and MS Office
  • Understanding of computer-controlled motion systems (motors, servos, steppers, digital I/O)
  • Experience designing and building test jigs for subsystem verification
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds safely
  • Open to recent BSME graduates with hands-on mechanical build experience
