Job Details

Piper Companies is in search of an exceptional Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who possesses strong leadership skills and a strategic vision. As the CTO, you will be responsible for shaping and executing our organization's technological direction. Collaboration with various teams, including executives, engineers, product managers, and operations, will be key to ensuring that our technology initiatives align with our business goals. Your primary objective will be to enhance our technological capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and drive business growth through the strategic use of technology. This position is on site in the Washington D.C./Northern Virginia Area.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the overall technology strategy in line with our company's mission and objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging trends and technologies, recommending their integration into our operations.
  • Foster an innovative culture and lead research efforts to drive continuous improvement and gain a competitive edge.
  • Provide strategic and technical guidance to our engineering and product teams for timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Lead the development of scalable and secure technology platforms, systems, and architectures.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align technology initiatives with business objectives and ensure measurable value.
  • Work with product management to prioritize new features and technology investments based on customer needs.
  • Optimize processes, systems, and infrastructure for seamless operations and scalability.
  • Promote communication and collaboration across teams, encouraging transparency and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a technology-driven organization.
  • Strong technical expertise in software development, infrastructure, and architecture.
  • Extensive knowledge of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Track record of leading technology teams, fostering innovation, and delivering complex projects.
  • Ability to align technology initiatives with business goals and think strategically.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in the industry.

Compensation:
  • Salary: $225,000 - $275,000+ (based on experience) with a 15% annual performance-based bonus.
