Technical Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Technical Analyst in Maryland Heights, MO.

Summary:
This role is not a traditional Business Systems Analyst position-it requires someone who can flex across business analysis, technical coordination, testing, monitoring, and documentation. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, quickly adapts to shifting priorities, and fills in critical gaps as they arise. This individual should bring a mix of technical understanding and business-facing skills, with the ability to support requirements gathering, documentation, testing, and system monitoring.

Responsibilities:
* Technical Analyst will partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to define and document both functional and technical requirements
* Create clear documentation, technical diagrams, and user guides as needed
* Develop and execute test plans and test cases to validate functionality
* Support API understanding and testing (e.g., using Postman or SoapUI)
* Monitor systems and troubleshoot issues using tools such as JIRA, Splunk, AppDynamics, or Grafana
* Contribute to performance testing activities using tools like JMeter
* As a Technical Analyst, you will coordinate across teams to bridge communication gaps between business and technology
* Assist in triage, issue tracking, and workflow improvements
* (Optional) Support Agile ceremonies and light project management activities if prior Scrum or PM experience is present

REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience in business analysis or hybrid analyst/QA/technical roles
* Hands-on exposure to APIs, SDLC processes, and testing methodologies
* Familiarity with test planning and execution
* Strong ability to capture, structure, and communicate requirements and technical concepts

Working knowledge of at least some of the following tools:
* Postman or SoapUI
* JIRA for issue tracking
* Splunk, AppDynamics, or Grafana for monitoring
* JMeter for performance testing

Preferred Skills:
* Prior experience in Agile or Scrum environments
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset
* Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to multiple audiences
* Ability to take on project coordination or light project management responsibilities

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
