Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration Developer

Contract role.

Onsite, Warren NJ (Hybrid 3 days WFO)

Guidewire Policy center developer to support the configuration, deployment, and enhancement of PolicyCenter on the Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SBT management, strong proficiency in Gosu, and a proven track record in delivering solutions for Commercial and Specialty Lines of Business in the Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance space.

This role plays a key part in modernizing and scaling our policy administration capabilities through agile, cloud-native technology.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and configure Guidewire PolicyCenter and create products for complex policy lifecycle processes, including quoting, issuing, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations for various LOB's.

Develop and maintain configurations for Commercial and Specialty Lines of Business, like General Liability, Commercial Auto, Umbrella/Excess, Professional Liability, and others.

Implement changes to the product model, business rules, user interface, and workflows using Gosu and Guidewire best practices.

Manage and optimize SBT in the Guidewire Cloud environment.

Collaborate with , business analysts, QA, and DevOps teams to gather requirements, deliver enhancements, and support production releases.

Troubleshoot cloud deployment issues and work with Guidewire Support and internal teams to resolve configuration and performance issues.

Participate in code reviews, testing cycles, and agile ceremonies.

Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment artifacts.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

6+ years of hands-on configuration experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, including Commercial and/or Specialty Lines.

Experience working on the Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP).

Proficiency in Gosu programming language and Guidewire configuration framework.

Hands-on experience managing SBT for PolicyCenter

Strong understanding of Guidewire's product model and P&C policy lifecycle.

Experience with version control tools, CI/CD practices, and agile delivery methodologies.

Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into scalable PolicyCenter solutions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration Specialist certification.

Exposure to commercial rating engines and ISO bureau content.

Understanding of regulatory compliance for commercial lines products.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
