Raytheon's SWCM Department in Tucson, AZ is looking to hire experienced and qualified Engineers to work onsite.
  • The Software Configuration Management (SWCM) department establishes and maintains integrity for all digital products throughout the entire life cycle.
  • SWCM provides innovative solutions through automation, continuous improvement, and a skilled workforce providing support for all digital computing products: embedded software, firmware/configurable logic, test equipment, simulation, Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and tools.
  • Additionally, SWCM is responsible for administration and user access for Change and Configuration Management toolsets

SWCM department is hiring Senior Software Configuration Management Engineers, to work onsite in Tucson, AZ.

What you will do:
  • Design, plan, enforce and coordinate CM and tool processes and procedures
  • Configuration Planning & Identification, Change Management & Version Control
  • Status Accounting & Configuration Audits
  • Manage digital product development/media libraries
  • Document and maintain guidelines and standards for dependency management, build and versioning
  • SWCM Tool administration / manage all access to tool applications (i.e. Microsoft Azure DevOps Server (ADS), Git, BitBucket, JIRA, Confluence
  • Administer/manage/use DevSecOps tools like Coverity, Artifactory, Jenkins, Nexus, GitLab CI/CD, Bamboo
  • Facilitate the Digital Change Review Boards (DCRBs)
  • Maintain familiarity with program schedule, budget, identifying risks and aligning work to promote reuse and efficiency
  • Coordination of data transfers, courier support among various environments
  • Lead coordination of various digital product releases and interface with functional and program leadership ensuring on-time delivery and ensuring configuration management execution in multi-environment areas.
  • Follow RTX Policies and Directives in accordance with established program documentation and work instructions under close direction of SWCM Team Lead and/or Section Leader.
  • Work onsite at Tucson, AZ.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.
  • Experience with version control and change management/agile planning tools
  • Software Configuration Management technology, Information Technology (IT), and/or development/scripting experience
  • Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux Operating Systems
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Advanced knowledge in Software Configuration Management principles, process, and implementation/execution
  • Solving complex problems, sharing knowledge, and documenting work
  • Experience with SWCM tools (Microsoft Azure DevOps Server (ADS) - Git, BitBucket, IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC), and/or IBM Rational ClearCase, Synergy, Jenkins, Artifactory
  • Experience with scripting programming languages (i.e., Perl, shell, batch, Python, Ruby, or YAML)
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), GitFlow, and Agile concepts
  • Database / SWCM tool administration experience
  • Experience with software industry best practices such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI)
  • Proven collaboration and effective communication with individuals and cross functional organizations

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
