About the Role

We re seeking a User Experience (UX) Researcher to conduct medium-complexity research projects that uncover deep insights into user needs, behaviors, and motivations. You will collaborate cross-functionally with design, product, and engineering teams to influence strategy and deliver user-centered solutions that elevate Google s products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and execute qualitative and quantitative user research across product development stages.
  • Conduct usability, ergonomics, OOBE, and field studies to inform design and product direction.
  • Analyze findings and present clear, actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Partner with product and design teams to identify research opportunities and integrate insights into product decisions.
  • Create screeners, coordinate participant recruitment, and manage lab setups and logistics.
  • Perform literature reviews and competitive analyses to inform research strategy.
  • Apply ethical research practices and communicate findings through effective UX storytelling.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: M.A./M.S. or Ph.D. in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, HCI, Anthropology, or related behavioral science field preferred.
    (B.S. in related field with strong relevant experience may be considered.)
  • Experience: 5+ years in a UX Research role (including internships).
  • Proven expertise in designing and executing studies that drive product and business decisions.
  • Strong understanding of various UX research methodologies and when to apply them.
  • Hands-on experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks, CREO, Rhino, etc.) for usability and ergonomics studies.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with basic graphic and video editing tools is a plus.
