RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is looking for a Project Manager for an onsite, contract opportunity with a large organization in the Kansas City area.
Responsibilities:
* Work with project sponsors and key stakeholders to clearly outline project scope, objectives, deliverables, required resources, budget, and schedule
* Effectively drive progress and create clarity by aligning teams and goals, even when navigating ambiguity
* Ability to blend project management approaches, leveraging Agile and Waterfall methodologies to drive efficiency and results
* Develop a fully integrated project plan using standard templates/software detailing resources and dependencies to ensure transparency and accountability of the project team
* Serve as a primary point of contact and clearly communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders across all levels of the organization, from executive leadership to operational staff
* Build trust with leadership and teams by asking the right questions, using data-driven information to support key project decisions
* Effectively manage multiple project initiatives concurrently and handle complex day-to-day project-related activities and support business analysis
* Maintain a Risks/Assumptions/Issues/Dependencies (RAID) log; Update it collaboratively; Document assumptions; Resolve issues; Track dependencies
* Promote collaborative hand-offs across organizational boundaries
* Support the hand-off of knowledge to support/operations teams
* At project close out summarize achievements versus objectives; Note unresolved issues and recommendations; archive key artifacts; ensure smooth hand-off
REQUIREMENTS:
* 4+ years of progressive project management experience
* Experience in some of the following business processes: Treasury, tax, legal, HR, risk, accounting, finance, etc.
* Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving and analytical skills
* Able to learn new concepts and skills quickly
* Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
* Exhibit sound and detailed judgment and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Demonstrated ability to be persuasive and compelling in gaining support of others
* Advanced abilities using PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively
Preferred:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
* PMP Certification or equivalent experience
* Experience capturing business and functional requirements
* Experience with infrastructure and software development projects
* Experience with a variety of project and portfolio tools and controls
* Experienced in leading business transformation initiatives that drive change across both business operations and IT processes, aligning strategy, systems, and people to achieve measurable outcomes
* Familiar with methodologies and tools sets compatible with project management
* Demonstrated ability to multi-task
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
