Job Details

Title: Power BI Architect

Location: Brentwood, TN

Duration: Long Term

  • Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards using data sourced from:
  • Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse (Delta tables via OneLake)
  • Azure Data Lake Gen2 and Databricks Delta Lake
  • Build and optimize data models using Import, DirectLake, and DirectQuery modes depending on architecture.
  • Access and transform data using Microsoft Fabric Pipelines, Synapse Notebooks, and Databricks Notebooks.
  • Connect Power BI reports to:
  • Databricks SQL Warehouse
  • Synapse Serverless SQL Endpoint
  • Fabric Lakehouse Delta Tables
  • Implement secure access control using Row-Level Security (RLS) and Column-Level Security (CLS).
  • Apply best practices to optimize dashboard performance, data refresh frequency, and memory usage.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate reporting into the Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) for scalable and structured data consumption.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, stakeholder reviews, and iterative dashboard delivery cycles.
