Title: Senior Natural Developer (Developer Senior Natural Developer
Role summary

  • Work on support, enhancement, and maintenance of the statewide SNAP/TANF Eligibility Determination system, including integrations with other platforms and process automation.

  • Provide on call production support, troubleshoot complex eligibility issues in Linux environment using Natural One IDE and Micro Focus COBOL.

Required technical experience

  • 10+ years: Enterprise system programming in NATURAL and COBOL batch using ADABAS in a Linux environment; strong troubleshooting of SNAP/TANF eligibility systems using Natural One and Micro Focus COBOL.

  • 6+ years:

    • Analysis, design, and programming of large or complex projects on IBM Mainframe/Linux systems.

    • Automated eligibility determination systems (SNAP, TANF, SNAP E&T, benefits, benefit recovery).

Core technical skills

  • Operating systems: Mainframe (SME, required), Windows (Intermediate, required), Linux (Intermediate, preferred).

  • Languages/tools: NATURAL/Natural One (Advanced, required), COBOL/Enterprise Developer (Advanced, required), Enterprise Developer Animator (Intermediate, preferred).

  • Databases: ADABAS (Advanced, required), relational databases such as DB2/SQL (Intermediate, preferred).

  • Methods: SDLC (Intermediate, required), Agile (Intermediate, preferred).
