Position Summary

Perform complex system verification, and customer support of Samsung 5G RAN Equipment including virtual EMS, vRAN.

Role and Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

Perform complex system verification, and customer support of Samsung 5G RAN Equipment including virtual EMS, vRAN. Perform feature validation, interoperability testing, field evaluation to get product acceptance from customer. Provide technical support in product & feature performance analysis, evaluation of new product and software releases. Ensure that customer commitments are achieved according to project plan. Work with team members to prepare test plans/cases and execute to validate RAN CP/OAM functionality. Interface proactively with Product and Technology Engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Analyze customer requirements, develop test strategy for features and functionalities, convert customer requirements into test plans and detailed test procedures. Educate customers on Samsung's new products and services both individually and in a team environment. Work closely with various support organizations, logistics, and cross- functional teams from SEA and Samsung HQ to achieve successful new product roll-outs and developments. Act as Subject Matter Expert in driving the technical solutions to customer through complex organizational dynamics.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and six (6) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as an Engineer II, Software Analysis Engineering or related occupation in the wireless telecommunications engineering. The six (6) years of experience must have included: PC and UNIX Workstation experience in a LAN/WAN systems environment; 4G or 5G air interface and call processing technologies and network architecture with focus on Radio Access Network; allover 5G or LTE RAN Network Architecture, and wireless concepts such as Hybrid Beamforming, Massive MIMO, New Waveforms, LTE-NR interworking & co-existence, or 5G Numerologies; and system engineering activities, including feature requirements identification, feature description documentation, parameter optimization, performance analysis, test strategy creation, problem troubleshooting. Travel Requirement: 10% domestic travel required.

Hours: Full Time, 40 hours/week.
