The Apprentice/ Shop Hand is responsible for performing daily shop duties, exercising prioritization in assigned tasks and providing assistance to the Shop Supervisor and other shop employees.
?Ensure the shop is clean and organized at all times.
?Provide assistance to the Shop Supervisor and other shop employees as required.
?Mechanically inclined.
?Pick-up and delivery of parts.
?Assist with warehouse related to shipping and receiving.
?Operate the overhead crane and forklift.
?Ability or competency to operate basic hand and power tools.
?Report any safety or mechanical deficiencies or other areas of concern to supervisor.
?Operate all equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
?High School Diploma or equivalent.
?Valid Class 5 Driver?s License and clear abstract is required.
?1 - 2 years previous general labor experience.
?Enrolled or interested in the Millwright or HD Mechanic Apprenticeship.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
?Experience working with a loader/forklift is an asset.
?Knowledge of drilling rig components is an asset.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
