Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Tester (Manufacturing IT Operations Analyst) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be crucial in maintaining and enhancing our Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). Your responsibilities will encompass resolving MES-related issues, implementing new changes, and driving continuous improvement within our manufacturing operations. This will involve collaborating closely with various teams, including MFG IT Levels 2 and 3, Production Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, and PLC Control.

Responsible for:

  • Analyze and Improve Manufacturing Processes: Critically evaluate existing manufacturing processes, systems, and workflows to pinpoint pain points and identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
  • Gather and Analyze Requirements: Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to thoroughly understand their needs and gather relevant data for system improvements and changes.
  • System Evaluation and Enhancement: Assess current manufacturing systems to identify areas where enhancements, integrations, or replacements are necessary to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Documentation and Standardization: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including detailed system requirements, process maps, user manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • System Implementation and Integration: Work closely with IT teams to design, configure, and implement changes to manufacturing systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure and minimal operational disruption.
  • Testing and Validation: Perform rigorous system testing, validation, and thorough troubleshooting to guarantee proper functionality and strict adherence to defined requirements.
  • End-User Support and Training: Provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to end-users, ensuring they possess the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively utilize manufacturing systems.
  • Performance Monitoring and Issue Resolution: Continuously monitor system performance, collect and analyze relevant data to proactively identify and address potential issues, and propose effective solutions to enhance system reliability and overall efficiency.
  • Innovation and Technology Adoption: Stay informed about emerging technologies and evolving industry trends in manufacturing systems and recommend innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Collaborate with external vendors and partners to evaluate, select, and implement new manufacturing systems or necessary upgrades.
  • Project Leadership and Participation: Lead or actively participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving manufacturing processes, reducing operational costs, increasing productivity, and enhancing overall operational efficiency.

Required Skillsets:

  • Experience: 2-5 years of proven experience working as an Operations Analyst, Technical Analyst, or in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, processes, and intricate workflows.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in system analysis, detailed process mapping, and effective requirements gathering techniques.
  • Software Familiarity: Hands-on experience with various manufacturing software and systems, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
  • Data Management Skills: Familiarity with fundamental database concepts, SQL querying, and relevant data analysis tools.
  • Problem-Solving Acumen: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively identify issues, develop practical solutions, and drive positive change.
  • Communication Excellence: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse cross-functional teams.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously and work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, coupled with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Education Requirements:

  • A college, university, or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Business, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related subject is highly desired.
