Job Title: S/4HANA Service Management Lead
Location: Newark CA
Duration: Contract 6+ months
Note : We will require someone onsite for initial 2 weeks and then on need bases. Travel expenses will be paid
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced S/4HANA Service Management (SM) Lead to support our client in their ongoing transformation journey as they move their Salesforce Service operations to SAP S/4HANA. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in SAP Service Management and Service Order Processing, along with a strong understanding of how service processes integrate with other areas like Sales, Finance, and Logistics.
This is a hands-on leadership role that involves working closely with business users, Salesforce teams, and SAP architects to define the future-state service model and ensure a smooth transition to S/4HANA.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of the S/4HANA Service Management solution, replacing existing Salesforce-based service processes.
- Work with business and IT teams to understand service operations, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
- Define and document future-state processes for service order management, service contracts, warranty handling, and billing integration.
- Collaborate with functional teams in SD, MM, and FI to ensure seamless process flow across the order-to-service lifecycle.
- Support integration between Salesforce and S/4HANA through coordination with middleware and technical teams.
- Guide configuration, testing, and cutover activities related to S/4HANA Services.
- Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to the business throughout the transition.
- Provide post go-live support and help optimize the new system setup.
Required Experience
- 10+ years of SAP experience, including 5+ years focused on Service Management (CS or S/4HANA Service).
- Strong understanding of Service Orders, Service Contracts, Billing, and Warranty processes.
- Prior experience working on projects involving Salesforce to SAP integration or migration is highly preferred.
- Solid functional knowledge of related SAP areas (SD, MM, FI).
- Experience in end-to-end project delivery including design, testing, training, and go-live support.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SAP Warranty Management, Field Service, or S/4HANA Cloud for Service.
- Familiarity with SAP BTP or integration tools (e.g., CPI, Workato, MuleSoft).
- Experience in automotive or high-tech manufacturing industries.
