Role Overview: This senior-level role supports the Architecture Review Board (ARB) governance process by creating and managing ARB artifacts, coordinating with application teams, and engaging Enterprise Architects for review and approval. Additionally, the role ensures successful implementation of approved architectures by working with build teams to provision target state cloud environments and complete application onboarding activities. The position requires deep technical expertise in modernized application architectures and cloud platforms.
Responsibilities:
  • ARB Artifact Creation & Coordination: Collaborate with application teams to gather technical and business details; create ARB artifacts using approved templates; ensure artifacts meet enterprise architecture standards and are ready for ARB review.
  • Governance Engagement: Work with Enterprise Architects to review and approve artifacts; incorporate feedback and finalize documentation; schedule and coordinate ARB socialization sessions and approval meetings.
  • Cloud Environment Build & Onboarding: Coordinate with cloud build teams to provision target state environments based on approved architecture; ensure application onboarding activities are completed, including connectivity, security configurations, and compliance checks; track progress and resolve issues during environment setup and onboarding.
  • Modernized Application Architecture: Partner with development teams to refactor legacy .NET and/or Java applications into microservices; support decomposition of monolithic applications for containerized deployments; provide guidance on container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) and cloud-native design patterns.
  • Process Management: Maintain a checklist of required ARB artifacts and onboarding tasks; track artifact and environment build status in governance tools and dashboards; update the Technical Capability Catalog and related repositories as needed.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as liaison between application teams, Enterprise Architects, and build teams; provide guidance on ARB requirements, onboarding steps, and timelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Validate that artifacts and environments align with approved standards and patterns; ensure onboarding activities meet security and compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in IT architecture, solution design, and governance coordination.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and cloud technologies.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and project coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) services.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience in modernizing applications, including refactoring .NET and/or Java applications into microservices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with ARB governance frameworks and artifact templates.
  • Experience with architecture modeling tools (e.g., Lucidchart, LeanIX).
