Role: Field Support Technician
Location: Worksite-Based Nebraska
Target Experience: 5 7 years
As a Field Support Technician, you'll work alongside field engineers on capital projects and provide remote assistance to tower crews, ensuring seamless execution of network build initiatives. Your role will involve optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance of base station equipment, RF transmitters, and fiber networks. You'll be the go-to problem-solver - proactive, detail-oriented, and dedicated to enhancing the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities-
Support capital project delivery in the field and provide remote assistance to tower crews.

Test fiber networks and integrate network hardware to bring new products on-air.

Ensure compliance with company and industry standards to maintain high network performance.

Troubleshoot and optimize antenna systems, RF equipment, and fiber connections.

Foster a collaborative, positive team environment and share knowledge across teams.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to complete projects, provide feedback, and drive improvements.

Associate's degree or two+ years of work experience.

Minimum three years of relevant telecom/network experience.

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Flexible availability for 24/7 shifts and on-call rotations.

Ability to meet physical job requirements (reasonable accommodations available).

Must be able to report to assigned territory within 45 minutes of notice.

Technical degree in Electronics or Telecommunications.

Experience with antenna systems troubleshooting (PIM/VSWR/MIMO/RET).

Knowledge of LTE remote radio heads, fiber networks, and spectrum analysis tools.

Electronics training in telecom, two-way radio, paging, or microwave systems.

Experience with LTE/CDMA base station equipment from Lucent, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, or Ericsson.

Familiarity with T1, DACS, OMP, and fiber testing (OTDR, fiberscope).

Understanding of Ciena, Fuji, or Nokia ring topologies.

PC hardware/software troubleshooting and support experience.
-
Power system experience (Galaxy, Lorain, DC distribution systems).
