NCDIT-Transportation isseeking a Senior Project Manager who will be responsible for successfullyplanning, organizing, and motivating diverse project teams throughout allphases of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid projects and for delivering projects
**The candidate will need to come onsite on thefirst day to collect equipment.**
**All candidates must be local to the Triangleregion of North Carolina, and posting may require up to 1-2 days per month in aTriangle area office for meetings.**
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible forsuccessfully planning, organizing, and motivatingdiverse project
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate vendors and consultants, and agency IT and business staff asassigned, in the execution of IT projects and related procurements.
Coordinate and oversee the development of proposals, statement of work,statement of requirements and RFP responses.
Assist management in holding teams accountable for their commitments andremoving roadblocks to their work.
Facilitate multi-disciplinary teams in the development of plans, goals, objectives,policies, and procedures for completion of a project.
Oversee and manage execution and/or coordination ofday-to-day project
Manage working relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, suppliers,and technology management.
Set project goals that are consistent with technical objectives andthe agency s overall technology strategy.
Track and communicate a project's progress from a schedule, cost, andrisk perspective to the project team, customers, and project stakeholders.
Collaborate with technology leads and solution architects to incorporateagency best practices into project plans.
Drive consistent project delivery through theentire project lifecycle, including, execution of procurements,definition of project plans, resourceallocation,
Monitor progress by third-party vendors and define and measure their progresswith metrics.
Develop and maintain project budget, plans, task lists, schedules,risks, and status, to include resource allocation and schedules.
Adhere to agency and SDLC project management practices andgovernance requirements.
Exhibit significant emotional quotient (EQ) inhandling project challenges and maintain apositive project culture in line with agency mission and sharedvalues.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Strong experience leading the business and IT resources through the discovery and documentation of business and technical requirements in request for proposal and statement of requirement formats.
Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills for collaborating and team building.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to simplify and briefly, succinctly communicate complex issues to multiple audiences.
Ability to lead others to implement new approaches, systems, structures, andmethods.
Communicate timelines and expectations to technical and business staff.
Ability to analyze and document system processes.
Solid understanding of software development life cycle models.
Exceptional knowledge of both Agile andWaterfall project
Experience with the ServiceNow platform.
Experience with projects hosted in a cloud environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years ofexperience managing large IT Web development projects.
Fluency in Project Management tools such asMicrosoft Project, Visio, and Office required.
PMP Certification through PMI
Experience with Project Management Office methodologies andpractices is strongly preferred.
Experience with the core IT procurement processes (RFP, SOW) is preferred.
