Telecom Network Engineer
Plano, TX
Hybrid (4 Days Per Week On-Site)
Responsible for being the escalation point-of-contact for all high level break/fix and maintenance issues or events. Provides subject matter expertise in SDWAN MPLS Cloud and Security and works closely with the network engineering teams supporting the global network. Performs a variety of highly complex analytical duties in the planning development testing and evaluation of Comcast's network. Responds to escalations and resolves issues that arise from hardware and software failures. Manages network tuning performance and designs strategies and makes recommendations to improve network performance.

Responsibilities:
- Hands-on IP router/switch/firewall/SDWAN customer premises equipment
- Design configure and deploy LAN and WAN network connections hardware software and communication links and services.
- Optimize the network and systems services and troubleshoot any network performance issues.
- Responsible for the service provision and monitoring of the network infrastructure to company standards.
- Works directly with customers to troubleshoot and resolve network issues
- Is a technical point of contact for other internal engineers

Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet SD-WAN solutions along with exposure to Cisco and Nokia routing platforms.
- Strong understanding of networking design principles routing and their practical applications.
- High level of experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols
- Experience with Fortinet firewalls FG 60F/80F/100F/400F/1800F and the Fortinet family of applications.
- Relevant certifications e.g. Fortinet NSE levels CCNA CCNP

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
