Cloud Security Engineer - Hybrid

As a Google Cloud Platform Cloud Security Engineer, you will be part of the Cloud Security Engineering team supporting various initiatives. This team utilizes Terraform Sentinel to create and enforce policy-as-code, ensuring that IaC (Infrastructure as Code) adheres to the security requirements. Within Engineering, you will help design and implement security controls to protect cloud-based applications and data while conducting regular security assessments and scans to identify and mitigate any risks.

What's the Job?

Develop, implement, and manage security policies and procedures for Google Cloud Platform environments to ensure compliance and industry best practices.

Utilize Terraform Sentinel to create and enforce policy-as-code, ensuring Infrastructure as Code adheres to security requirements.

Design and implement security controls to protect cloud-based applications and data.

Conduct regular security assessments and scans to identify and mitigate risks.

Certify public cloud provider services and define configuration boxes before wider organizational usage.

What's Needed?

Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud security engineering, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform.

Proficiency in Terraform and Terraform Sentinel for policy-as-code.

Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform services and security best practices.

Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., CIS, NIST, ISO 27001).

Knowledge of network security, identity and access management (IAM), and encryption.
