Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Controller / Finance Manager with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills to join our manufacturing team in Fort Worth. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter comfortable driving financial strategy and process improvements, particularly in modernizing our systems and implementing WIP tracking. A solid understanding of manufacturing transaction flow from sales order to general ledger is essential, as is the ability to remain calm under pressure and build relationships. Experience with ERP systems, specifically in a manufacturing setting and involvement in financial audits, is highly valued, especially as we plan our transition to a new system in 2026. This is a full-time, 100% onsite position with a 4-day work week (Monday-Thursday, 7 am-5:30 pm) and great benefits, offering a long-term career opportunity.
The Controller position is responsible for all financial matters and functions of the company and its organizations. The position will report to and work closely with the President/CEO. In addition, this person will be a partner with the senior leadership to develop and implement strategies across the organization. The position will oversee all compliance and recognition for government (federal and state) contracts and private grants. Must be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment and thrive in an autonomous and deadline-oriented workplace while managing a staff of three or more individual performers.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
- Oversees the production of monthly financial reports ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
- Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
- Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
- Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
- Files quarterly and annual reports with the state and federal CNAs.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
- Oversee the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, purchasing and production planning, fixed asset management, pricing model maintenance, ERP software and Chart of Accounts management, inventory control, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Oversees training programs and identifies training needs for direct reports.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
- 10+ of related experience is required.
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
