This position is onsite with a four-day workweek.
We are looking for a dedicated individual who is committed to long-term growth with the company; if you're a job hopper or primarily motivated by higher pay and planning to leave after a year, this position may not be the right fit for you.
The Controller position is responsible for all financial matters and functions of and its
organizations. The position will report to and work closely with the President/CEO. In addition,
this person will partner with the senior leadership to develop and implement strategies across the
organization. The position will oversee all compliance and recognition for government (federal
and state) contracts and private grants. They must be able to adapt to a continually evolving
environment and thrive in an autonomous and deadline-oriented workplace while managing a
staff of three or more individual performers.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a
system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
- Oversees the production of monthly financial reports; ensures that the reported results
comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting
standards.
- Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company s performance.
- Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to
management.
- Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and
contract negotiations.
- Works with external auditors and provides the necessary information for the annual audit.
- Files quarterly and annual reports with the state and federal CNAs.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable,
accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, purchasing and production planning,
fixed asset management, pricing model maintenance, ERP software and Chart of Accounts
management, inventory control, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Oversees training programs and identifies training needs for direct reports.

- Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains), Office Suite, or similar software.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required. (If not, depends why)
- Ten years or more of related experience is required.
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
Work Environment

- Occasional exposure to the manufacturing areas where the use of automated equipment is in use
- Moderate noise level
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Viewing of computer monitor and repetitive motion on the keyboard and calculator.
- Able to travel as needed.
Travel/Transportation
Team members must have reliable transportation to and from the Lighthouse within the
required open and close times.
Pay Rate
Pay Rate is Salary Plus a Performance Based Compensation package of 12%
