Software Engineer II ( System Engineer )
Location: Prefer Hybrid due to this position being temp to perm but can do 100% remote.
Duration: 5-month contract to hire
Need on W2 - / L2/ / USC
System Engineer II: For MS Exchange Engineer Support & Migration from On-Prem 2016 to Cloud SaaS RESPONSIBILITIES
Administers large deployments of Exchange environments & messaging systems, including MS Active Sync ( handheld devices ), Active Directory, IIS, Spam / Anti-virus filtering, & Clustering.
Configuration, support, & administration of Exchange 2010 / 2013 / 2016 / 2019, Active Directory, Windows Server 2008 / 2012 / 2016 / 2019 / 2022 & etc. , Datacenter, SQL 2008 / 2012 / 2016 / 2019 / 2022 etc..., Veeam Backup, & Microsoft SharePoint technologies.
Analyses technical problems & creates solutions involving the use of existing techniques or tools.
Perform on - site technical support for Microsoft Exchange 2003 / 2010 / 2016 / 2019 / SaaS.
Perform on - site technical support for Microsoft Exchange from On - Prem 2016 to Cloud SaaS.
Monitor Microsoft SCOM alerts to proactively respond, analyze, & troubleshoot to avoid potential incidents that may cause system / network back logs.
Monitor & track incidents in the Altiris Ticketing System in support of the incident & problem management process.
Monitor Microsoft server performance, run routine server diagnostic tests, perform, & monitor system backups, & perform cluster failovers.
Monitor Exchange message queues, resolve non-deliveries, & perform message tracking & record status / findings in daily operations log.
Create user accounts & mailboxes.
Perform mailbox moves & restores. QUALIFICATIONS Must Haves: Exchange
Active Directory
Routing - Won't use but need to have the knowledge due to interaction with the other teams
DNS - Won't use but need to have the knowledge due to interaction with the other teams
Managing DAG replication network & resolve Exchange server database Desired Skill Set: Clustering & other high availability technologies for incidence resolutions
