Job Title: AWS GovCloud Engineer with GitLab Experience
Location: San Jose, CA (onsite from day 1)
Contract Duration: 3+ Months
We are looking for someone who has extensive experience working on Gitlab CICD, migrating from other CICD platforms like Jenkins, GitHub to Gitlab. Below are some of technical skills -
* Strong advisory skills to guide customers on the best practices journey
* Knowledge of GitLab reference architecture (CNH is a plus)
* Implementation expertise using Terraform, Ansible
* Experience with Gitlab Geo setup
* CI/CD modernization and migration from Jenkins/ArgoCD to GitLab CI/CD
Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and security-minded AWS GovCloud Engineer with hands-on experience in GitLab to support cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines in a highly regulated, mission-critical environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS GovCloud architecture, security compliance (FedRAMP, NIST, etc.), and DevSecOps best practices.
Key Responsibilities:-
Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure in AWS GovCloud.

Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Configure and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments and code integration.

Ensure compliance with security and regulatory frameworks applicable to GovCloud (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST 800-53).

Collaborate with security, development, and operations teams to maintain secure DevOps workflows.

Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and availability.

Automate cloud operations using shell scripting, Python, or other scripting languages.

Troubleshoot cloud and CI/CD pipeline issues in staging and production environments.

3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud deployments.

Strong experience with GitLab and GitLab CI/CD pipeline development.

Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible or CloudFormation.

Strong understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.).

Experience working in FedRAMP, FISMA, or other regulated environments.

Familiarity with Linux/Unix system administration.

Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.

Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS).

Experience with security monitoring, auditing, and incident response within AWS GovCloud.
