Job Details

Job Title: OMS Technical Product Owner (Intermediate/Senior)
Location: In order of preference: Local, 6-state footprint, US remote

Must Haves:
3-5+ Years of experience as a Technical Product Owner
Experience working with any OMS (order management system) or inventory management system
Supply chain or Ecomm background as second option
Experience with Kubernetes (K8s), OpenShift, Red Hat or similar
Experience delivering complex projects in the past, working closely with technical teams, engineering mindset
Excellent communication and problem solving skills

Skills:
Java (Spring, Spring Boot, SQL, Kubernetes) Experience or Relevant Experience.
Experience with GraphQL
Experience with Kafka and/or Microservices
Experience in E-Commerce
Nice to have Manufacturing using an OMS or IMS
Proven experience working in Java or Related Programming Language.
Basic understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (Azure Cosmos DB).
Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.

Key Responsibilities:
Product Vision & Roadmap:
Work with stakeholders to prioritize and maintain a product roadmap, ensuring that the OMS evolves to meet the company's strategic goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with architecture to translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories.
Facilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring all parties are aligned on priorities, timelines, and deliverables.

}Backlog Management:
Develop and maintain a well-structured product backlog, ensuring clarity and priority for both technical and business requirements.
Regularly groom the backlog, adjusting priorities based on business needs and technical considerations.

Requirements Definition & Documentation:
Write clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria that are understandable by both technical and business audiences.
Ensure proper documentation of feature requests, system requirements, and workflows to ensure alignment across teams.

Project Leadership & Delivery:
Drive the execution of product features, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery in collaboration with engineering teams.
Participate in scaled agile ceremonies and ensure the development process is efficient and transparent.
Track product development progress, provide regular updates to stakeholders, and manage expectations throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement:
Identify and address any issues or roadblocks that arise during development or in the use of the OMS, proposing and implementing solutions as necessary.
Continuously monitor and assess the performance of the OMS and suggest enhancements to improve efficiency, scalability, and usability.
