Work Location: Townson, MD (with hybrid option of 40% remote)
Scope of Work: Looking to bring in a qualified Senior Project Manager to assist with the management, communication and coordination of all Public Safety projects and Public Safety day to day management of Office of Information Technology work and all related OIT project work. This Senior PM will have experience working with the Public Safety and will have a PMI PMP certification.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Management of specific project work.
- Performs daytoday management of the project, identifies issues and risks and recommends possible issue and risk mitigation strategies associated with the project.
- Ensures that work performed is within scope, consistent with requirements, and delivered on time and on budget.
- Identifies critical paths, tasks, dates, testing, and acceptance criteria. Provides solutions to improve efficiency (e.g., reduce costs while maintaining or improving performance levels).
- Monitors issues and provides resolutions for uptodate status reports.
- Demonstrates excellent writing and oral communications skills.
- Develops meeting agenda and meeting handouts.
Qualifications:
The candidate MUST have documented experience in the following areas.
- Minimum seven (7) years successful Project Management experience managing large, high profile and sensitive projects
- Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience
- Project Management Professional Certification from PMI
- Previous experience managing business process implementations, software and/or hardware implementation and upgrade projects using Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies
- Experience creating and managing project documentation as defined by the Project
Management Institute (PMI)
- Experience in creating and managing project deliverables and documents (SDLC and PMI)
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Project, Excel, WORD)
- Experience with Executive level presentations and communication
- Exceptional organization and coordination skills
- Ability to work five days per week from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 P.M.
- Exceptional oral and written communications skills
Must currently possess a Project, Program, Portfolio, or Agile management certificate from the Project Management Institute
