Job Title: Access Control Technician

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Security Systems Installer with experience in telecommunications and enterprise-level security systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Install, terminate, test, and maintain hardware from manufacturers such as:
    • Von Duprin
    • Assa Abloy
    • HID
    • Honeywell
  • Demonstrate proficiency in installing and servicing:
    • Mag Locks
    • Electronic Door Strikes
    • Card Readers and Keypads
    • Electric Crash Bars
    • EREX (Emergency Request to Exit Buttons)
    • REX (Request to Exit) PIR
    • Motion Sensors
    • IP Cameras
    • NVRs and DVRs
  • Configure and test enterprise security systems including:
    • CCTV
    • Access Control
    • Intrusion Detection
    • Video Analytics
    • IP Network Systems
    • Visitor Management Systems
  • Lead project installation teams and ensure quality control.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and technical support.
  • Track and report project progress and milestones.

Additional Qualifications

  • Process-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to support customer systems via remote diagnostics.
  • Solid understanding of internet protocols and networking fundamentals.
  • Self-motivated and capable of resolving issues independently.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean MVR.
  • Certifications in any of the following are a plus:
    • Honeywell Pro-Watch
    • Genetec
    • Openpath
    • Exacq
    • 3xLogic
    • Brivo
  • Willingness to undergo training and certification (provided by Security 101).

  • Experience Level - Intermediate
  • 6 months of Access Control Experience
  • 1 year or more of Commercial Cabling

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
