Responsibilities
- Leadership
- Lead technical design sessions and contribute to architectural decisions for new and existing ServiceNow capabilities.
- Lead large complex projects and effectively communicate status updates to management/stakeholders.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards across the team.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership within the ServiceNow development team.
- Solution Delivery
- Design, develop, and implement complex ServiceNow solutions using best practices and maintainable code.
- Build and enhance custom applications, integrations, and automation workflows using ServiceNow Studio, Flow Designer, and scripting (JavaScript, Glide APIs).
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Collaborate with platform architects and security teams to ensure compliance and performance.
- Work closely with QA teams to support testing efforts, resolve defects, and ensure successful deployments.
- Maintain documentation for developed solutions and technical designs.
- Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with ServiceNow platform updates and recommend adoption of new features.
- Ensure compliance with security, performance, and scalability standards.
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development.
- Expertise in scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript), Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, and UI Policies.
- Expertise in using ServiceNow components such as App Engine Studio, Flow Designer, UI Builder, Configurable Workspace, Script Editor and Portal Design.
- Strong experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and Integration Hub.
- Proven ability to design and implement custom scoped applications.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience working in Agile tools (JIRA) and leading technical projects
- Experience working with advanced ServiceNow modules such as HRSD, CSM, or SecOps.
- Experience working in large enterprise environments with multiple ServiceNow instances.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex tasks.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional teams.
- Strong personal initiative and willingness to take on responsibility.
- Ability to prioritize work efficiently without direct management guidance.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator strongly preferred
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer strongly preferred
