Job Title

User Experience (UX) Engineer Vue.js / Laravel / HTML5 / CSS3 / WCAG

Role Summary

Seeking a highly skilled UX Engineer to drive the design, development, and optimization of user interfaces across modern web applications. The ideal candidate combines strong front-end coding (Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3), back-end integration (Laravel/PHP), and hands-on accessibility with deep expertise in user-centered design, prototyping, and usability testing.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate design mockups, workflows, and specifications into responsive, interactive web experiences using Vue.js and Laravel.

Implement user interfaces based on HTML5 and CSS3, adhering to best practices in accessibility, performance, and cross-device compatibility.

Apply WCAG principles to web projects, ensuring all digital content is fully accessible to people of all abilities.

Conduct and document user research, persona development, journey mapping, and usability testing.

Build and manage reusable UI components, collaborating across teams to ensure consistency, maintainability, and scalability.

Integrate front-end components with backend Laravel APIs, optimizing state management and data flows.

Analyze user feedback and usability findings, iterating on designs to improve user satisfaction.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to establishing coding guidelines, design systems, and style guides.

Maintain detailed documentation for UI code, design rationale, and accessibility testing results.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, HCI, Design, or equivalent field.

5+ years' professional experience as a UX Engineer/UI Engineer or Frontend Developer.

Deep expertise in Vue.js, JavaScript/ES6+, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web application development.

Advanced experience developing with Laravel and integrating front-end and back-end codebases.

Strong knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and ability to evaluate and remediate accessibility issues.

Demonstrated capability in user-centered design, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.

Experience with version control tools (Git), CI/CD workflows, and automated testing frameworks.

Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with Figma, Adobe XD, or related prototyping/design tools.

Experience with code linting, performance profiling, and web analytics integration.

Track record of delivering enterprise-scale, multi-language, or e-commerce web interfaces.

Knowledge of additional accessibility standards (ARIA, Section 508) a plus.
