Role Summary
- Studio D is where developers come to grow. Inspired by the creative energy of recording studios, it's a place to experiment, practice, and refine how modern software gets built - together. As the Head of Studio Operations, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of this developer-focused hub, guiding a team of developer
- advocates and engineering coaches who help elevate software delivery across the enterprise. This role blends deep engineering expertise with inspiring leadership and a strong commitment to the developer experience. You'll bring clear ideas to life - refining their form, aligning execution, and scaling their impact
- across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Coaching
- - Lead a team of Developer Advocates and Engineering Coaches across all levels.
- - Cultivate a growth-minded, developer-first culture centered on learning by doing.
- - Support the professional development of your team through coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
- - Serve as a coach-of-coaches, modeling servant leadership and modern engineering practices.
Studio Operations
- - Oversee day-to-day operations of Studio D, including the planning and execution of "Sessions" that align to core domains: Continuous Delivery, Modernized Architecture, Flow Efficiency, End-to-End Connectivity, and Generative Culture.
- - Establish strong relationships across the technology organization to position Studio D where it can deliver the greatest value.
- - Direct the creation of educational content, labs, and resources that meet developers where they are.
- - Align engagement strategies with the needs of the development community and enterprise priorities.
- - Foster collaborative relationships with key partners to ensure Studio D content stays timely, practical, and high-impact.
Advocacy & Influence
- - Act as a voice for developers - gathering insights through Studio engagements and feeding those insights into enterprise capability teams, platform owners, and architecture leadership.
- - Influence the adoption of target-state architectures, patterns, and practices by guiding developers in how to work within evolving standards.
- - Champion modern ways of working by connecting agile values with engineering excellence in a regulated environment.
Strategic Impact
- - Partner with teams across Delivery, Development, and Infrastructure Acceleration, Data Movement, and Enterprise Architecture to coordinate roadmap alignment and knowledge flow.
- - Use Developer Experience (DevEx) data and qualitative signals to surface emerging friction points and inform enterprise decisions.
- - Help shape the broader strategy for internal advocacy and developer enablement, turning vision into repeatable practice.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree OR 10+ years of related experience in IT
- - Extensive software development experience, including firsthand exposure to modern architecture, delivery pipelines, and agile engineering practices.
- - Experience running internal enablement, education, or developer advocacy programs at scale.
- - Comfort operating with ambiguity and transforming well-formed ideas into structured programs and processes.
- - Deep empathy for developers and a commitment to pushing boundaries - even in highly regulated environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- - Experience managing technical content creation and community engagement strategies.
- - Outstanding communication skills with the ability to connect with both engineers and enterprise leadership.
- Proven leadership of technical teams, with a strong track record of coaching, mentoring, and enabling others to succeed.
- - Background in developer experience (DevEx), platform product management, or internal platform adoption.
- - Familiarity with developer metrics and success indicators.
- - Strong facilitation skills and comfort leading learning experiences or technical workshops
