Neos is a leading Austin-based IT Staffing and Consulting firm, and was recognized as one of the in Austin.

Neos is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor/ERP Systems for a multi-year contract with our client in the upper mid-west USA.

The Senior Technical Advisor will have ultimate responsibility for ensuring the ERP system and integration is designed and implemented to meet the business and technical architectural requirements. The position will be primarily responsible for overseeing Contractor activities, including technical infrastructure design and delivery, as well as development object supporting the ERP Solution including Forms, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements and Workflows (FRICEW).

Responsibilities

The position will require leadership in these primary areas:

  • Oversee the technical aspects of ERP software application development and customizations.
  • Oversee (from a technical perspective) interface standards and development.
  • Oversee (from a technical perspective) interface development by the Contractor and client organization for conformance with development standards.
  • Oversee (from a technical perspective) data migration strategy, development, and implementation.
  • Oversee (from a technical perspective) iterative conversion processes.
  • Oversee implementation of the data management strategy including development of ERP queries and reports, and business intelligence data warehouse including data from multiple EPR solutions and legacy data.
  • Oversees technical aspects of security and data access
  • Identifies and resolves technical issues in a timely manner
  • Oversees technical aspects of the cut-over plan
  • Oversees load testing and other performance testing
  • Oversees the disaster recovery exercise
  • Ensures adequate technical project documentation
  • Mentor client staff in performing technical reviews and other aspects of technical management and oversight.

The TA will be an integral member of the client technical team and will report directly to the client Technical Lead. The TA will work closely with the Contractor s technical team as well as with the client IT leaders and business team as required.

Required Skillsets

  • Travel: Up to 50% onsite during the first 3 months and then 25% thereafter
  • 7-10 years experience as a technical manager implementing large-scale IT projects across a multi-environment landscape of production, non-production and disaster recovery (preferably ERP projects)
  • Previous background as a technical architect responsible for the design and delivery cloud-based or on-premise platforms including multiple application and database servers
  • Knowledge of industry standards, best practices, industry trends and developments to as applied to ERP implementation processes and operations of the end ERP solution
  • Ability to recognize system deficiencies and recommend effective solutions.
  • Ensures code conforms to development standards regarding syntax and performance of FRICEW development objects
  • Ability to work well with contract and State technical architects and infrastructure operations staff in a high-paced and rapidly changing team environment
  • Ability to drive consensus decisions across multiple IT factions within the State
  • Demonstrates good presentation, oral and written communication skills
  • Possesses strong analytical, organizational and task management skills
  • Strong background with experience and high level of skill in design, coding, testing skills and implementation skills
  • Knowledge and ability to utilize the current version of the following products - MS Word, Excel, Visio, Microsoft Project, and SharePoint
