Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Pega Tester to support our Business Process Management (BPM) application testing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Pega PRPC testing, including validating workflows, rules, UI components, and system integrations. The role requires a deep understanding of Pega s architecture, functional testing, and optionally, automated testing tools compatible with Pega.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts to validate Pega-based applications.
- Perform functional, regression, system, UI, and integration testing for Pega PRPC applications.
- Review and validate Pega rules, flows, data pages, decision tables, and activities for correctness and performance.
- Collaborate closely with Pega developers, business analysts, and QA leads to understand requirements and deliver robust test coverage.
- Validate workflows, business logic, case management, and UI behavior across environments.
- Perform data validation by running SQL queries against backend databases.
- Document and track defects using tools like JIRA, ALM, or Quality Center, ensuring timely resolution.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups.
- Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test plans, traceability matrices, and test reports.
- Optionally support automation of test cases using Selenium, TestNG, or proprietary Pega testing tools.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+years of experience in manual or automation testing with focus on Pega applications.
- Hands-on experience with Pega PRPC and understanding of Pega rules, flows, case types, and UI components.
- Experience validating business process flows, integrations (SOAP/REST), and decision logic within Pega.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in sprint-based environments.
- Strong SQL knowledge for backend validation.
- Proficient in using test management tools (JIRA, ALM, TestRail, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of Pega testing tools such as PegaUnit, Tracer, Clipboard, or Live UI.
- Experience in test automation using Selenium, TestNG, or integration with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Pega CSA/CSA certification is a plus.
