The Enterprise Data Environment (EDE) team is hiring a Platform Administrator with a strong background in database management (preferably MongoDB) and experience with BigID.
What You Will Be Doing:
In this role, you will essentially be doing data management, systems engineering, and platform administration. Your key responsibilities will include the following:
Serving as a key technical expert in the administration and maintenance of our BigID data management platform, ensuring high availability, performance, and security
Collaborating with stakeholders, architects, and vendors to resolve complex technical issues and implement new features and functionality
Designing, implementing, and maintaining MongoDB databases, including installation, configuration, backup and recovery procedures, performance tuning, and security and access control
Developing and maintaining scripts and automation tools to support platform administration, using languages such as Bash and Python
Working with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes, to ensure efficient and scalable deployment of our data management platforms
Analyzing systems metrics to diagnose and resolve problems, and make recommendations for improvements to platform performance and security
Participating in Agile (Scrum/Jira) development cycles, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions and meet project deadlines
Providing technical guidance and support to junior team members, and contribute to the development of best practices and standards for platform administration

Basic Qualifications
Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift)
Knowledge of MongoDB administration best practices, or similar NoSQL databases
Strong understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python)
Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps, Github capabilities
Prior experience with AWS EC2, RDS, VPC, storage and security
Knowledge of network protocols and architecture (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS)
ship is required due to system access
Desired skills
Experience with BigID or similar data discovery and data identification platforms
Experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift in an administrative capacity, especially in deploying and maintaining applications
Experience with MongoDB administration
Experience with DB2
Experience with Data Lifecycle Management
Expertise in AWS Services EC2, RDS, VPC, Storage, IAM etc.
Experience with Data Lakes, Data warehouses, and Big Data environments
Experience with RHEL scripting, Shells Bash, Ksh etc.
Experience with JDBC, ODBC, Connectors, API based access; REST API calls
Strong knowledge of SQL and/or Python
Knowledge of tools like IBM Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D), Tableau, Tibco DV, Alteryx, Starburst, etc

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $93,200 - $164,450. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
