Job Description We are helping an IT consulting firm hire UPS field technicians. This company specializes in maximizing uptime and ensuring operational continuity for businesses. Their focus lies in critical power infrastructure solutions like uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), backup generators, battery monitoring, and power quality services.
In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of high-power systems, including 3-phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), routing switches, battery systems, and large KVA power systems. Required Skills & Experience

In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of high-power systems, including 3-phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), routing switches, battery systems, and large KVA power systems. Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3-4 years hands-on experience with critical power systems (UPS, routing switches, battery systems)
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and power quality
- Familiarity with large KVA high-power systems
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, diagrams
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Liebert, APC, Eaton)
- Data center or mission-critical facility experience
- Knowledge of building management systems (BMS) and monitoring software
- Associate's or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 80% Travel to client sites across the US for installations, maintenance, repairs
- 20% Documentation, reporting, team collaboration
