The Data Conversion Consultant is part of the Implementation Team, responsible for coordinating the transition of Defined Contribution Plans to a new service provider. This role involves managing the documentation and coordination of conversion data from previous recordkeepers, developing a conversion strategy with clients, and ensuring the completeness of data delivery. The consultant also oversees the transfer of assets, reconciles trust balances with participant account balances, and resolves any discrepancies.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $28 - $32 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the transition of Defined Contribution Plans to a new service provider.
  • Document and manage the conversion data from prior recordkeepers.
  • Develop a conversion strategy with clients detailing data conversion processes.
  • Ensure the completeness of data delivery from prior recordkeepers.
  • Follow up with prior recordkeepers to resolve any data issues.
  • Coordinate asset transfers and reconcile trust balances with participant account balances.
  • Identify and resolve variances in data and balances.
  • Work closely with clients to address and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to ensure smooth implementation processes.
  • Anticipate potential problems and plan accordingly.
  • Provide excellent client management and problem-solving services.
  • Communicate effectively in both written and oral forms.
  • Present, consult, and negotiate effectively with clients.

Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in implementation and/or 401(k) operations.
  • General understanding of the retirement market and client service.
  • Experience in implementation processes and duties related to data conversion.
  • Strong organizational and operational skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and client management abilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong presentation, consulting, and negotiating skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Auditing skills.
  • Nice to have: Detailed understanding of specific proprietary systems and products.
  • Nice to have: Backgrounds in HR Payroll, HR Generalists, Sales & Technology Sales, Actuaries, Pension Admins, or Business Analysts.
  • Must have: 401(k) experience and business analysis experience, particularly in client-facing roles and requirement gathering.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
