About the Role
Amazon is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Center Technician I to join our team in Hayward, CA. As a Data Center Technician, you will be a key technical resource responsible for maintaining the integrity and performance of our hardware infrastructure. You will troubleshoot complex issues, support junior technicians, and contribute to the success of local and remote projects.

- Serve as a primary resolver for hardware infrastructure issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems independently.
- Create and maintain documentation for supported technologies.
- Share technical knowledge and mentor junior staff.
- Perform basic to intermediate system administration tasks, including remote support.
- Automate tasks using scripts when necessary.
- Execute small-scale projects independently and assist with larger initiatives.
- Act as an escalation point for junior technicians.
- Understand and support all aspects of the data center equipment.
- Innovate and make informed decisions while also following direction when required.
- Experience in hardware troubleshooting and infrastructure support.
- Basic to intermediate system administration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a virtual team.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Scripting experience for task automation is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
