The Purpose of Your Role

Lead Database Administration will function as an Oracle DBA, participating in multiple projects and support of database systems. This will be a very hands-on role requiring Oracle expertise with problem analysis and resolution, and significant interactions with database development and support teams. 12 x 7 oncall for Production support, database maintenance, patching and upgrades is expected on a rotational basis.

The Skills that are Key to this role

  • Administration of Oracle 19c RAC/Standalone Databases on Linux.

  • Good understanding of database concepts, architecture and best practices.

  • Proficient in tuning SQL queries and resolving database Performance issues.

  • Good if you have database developer experience (PL/SQL) or Development DBA experience.

  • Administration of Snowflake environments, manage roles and maintain security best practices.

  • Analyze and optimize performance of Snowflake databases.

  • Good hands on knowledge in AWS services like RDS, EC2, and S3 etc

  • Experience in AWS is must and good to have AWS certification.

  • Knowledge of open source RDBMS/no SQL Databases is a big plus

  • Automation skills using Shell Scripting or Python or any other scripting

  • Knowledge on CI/CD process using tools like jenkins/concourse etc
