Position: Oracle Implementation Specialist Location: Philadelphia Metro Area PA (Hybrid) Duration: 18-24 months Contracts
Job Description:
Contract opening for an Oracle Implementation Specialist. Duration is 18-24 months and role can be hybrid or remote. The Oracle Implementation SME (PeopleSoft HRIS Focus) will serve as the critical liaison between our HR team and the ERP implementation team, ensuring alignment of business needs with technical solutions. This role requires deep expertise in Oracle PeopleSoft HRIS, coupled with a strong understanding of end-to-end ERP implementation processes. The SME will drive the successful configuration, integration, and deployment of the PeopleSoft HRIS within the broader Oracle ERP ecosystem, while facilitating communication, managing stakeholder expectations, and supporting change management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaison Role: Act as the primary point of contact between the HR team and the ERP implementation team, translating HR business requirements into technical specifications and ensuring alignment on project goals.
- PeopleSoft HRIS Expertise: Lead the configuration, customization, and integration of Oracle PeopleSoft HRIS modules (e.g., HR Core, Payroll, Benefits, and Talent Management) within the Oracle ERP system.
- Process Design: Collaborate with HR stakeholders to map current HR processes to PeopleSoft functionalities, identifying opportunities for optimization and automation.
- Data Migration & Testing: Oversee HR data migration, including data cleansing, validation, and mapping, and lead user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure system integrity and functionality.
- Change Management: Develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and documentation to support HR team adoption of the new system, addressing resistance and ensuring a smooth transition.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential implementation risks, propose solutions, and escalate issues as needed to keep the project on track.
- Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure HRIS configurations comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, labor laws) and align with industry best practices.
- Project Management: Support project planning, milestone tracking, and reporting using tools like Jira or MS Project, ensuring timely delivery of HRIS components.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate regular meetings, workshops, and status updates to maintain alignment between HR, IT, and implementation teams.
Qualifications
Required
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle PeopleSoft HRIS implementations, including full-cycle ERP projects.
- Proven ability to bridge HR and technical teams, translating business needs into system configurations.
- Expertise in PeopleSoft modules such as HR Core, Payroll, Benefits, and Talent Management.
- Experience with data migration, system integration, and user acceptance testing in ERP environments.
- Skills:
- Deep knowledge of HR processes (e.g., recruitment, onboarding, payroll, performance management) and their implementation in PeopleSoft.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders and manage expectations.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).
- Ability to analyze complex requirements and propose practical, scalable solutions.
- Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred
- Certifications:
- Oracle PeopleSoft HCM certification.
- Oracle Cloud certifications (e.g., Oracle Fusion HCM).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
