Founded in 1849, Ducommun is the oldest company in California. Starting as a hardware supply store during the California Gold Rush and eventually assisted in the birth of the aerospace industry in Southern California by providing aircraft aluminum to early aerospace pioneers like Lindbergh, Douglas and Lockheed.

Our Facility in Tulsa, OK manufactures state-of-the-art circuit boards for Aerospace and Defense.
Why Ducommun?
Build through-hole (THT) and surface mount (SMT) printed circuit board assemblies, placing components on boards per controlled parts lists, drawing documentation and quality workmanship guidelines.
Assemble electrical or electromechanical devices or components using a variety of hardware/tools
o Pull up documentation required to preform work on customer assemblies
o Hand soldering of surface mount, through-hole components and complex wiring
Repair of fine pitch/BGA
Small gauge wire bonding
Precise RTV application
Fine soldering using a microscope
o Performs touch ups, rework and repair
Fix missing/damaged PCB marking
Repair damaged conductors and cuts
Fix board delamination/blister
Fix board base material damage
Pad repairs
Fixing lifted/missing pads/TH
Removing/replacing conformal coating
Replacing damaged components (e.g. Through-hole, SMT, BGA's)
o Operate a variety of equipment as needed to fulfill customer requirements
Knowledge of soldering iron tips and chemicals
Hot air
Desoldering system
Microscope
o Able to identify defects in accordance with applicable workmanship standard and class
o Responsible for the proper handling of product and components
o Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area
o Perform other assignments as required
Required Skills & Qualifications:
J-STD-001 certified
IPC-7721 certified
Advanced soldering skills
Ability to read and understand engineering assembly drawings
Ability to read and follow assembly instructions
Ability to build electrical and electromechanical assemblies
Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity
Ability to use tools and testing devices
Strong math and measurement skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
