We are currently seeking a junior maintenance worker responsible for performing basic maintenance tasks, assisting senior maintenance workers, and ensuring the smooth operation of the facility and its equipment. This role may include electrical installation, machine repair, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and other maintenance duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and processes, including equipment manuals, work orders, and interpret schematics and drawings.
  • \n
  • Assist the senior maintenance workers with scheduled maintenance tasks, such as inspections, lubrication, and minor repairs of machinery, equipment, and building systems.
  • \n
  • Carries out simple repairs, including fixing leaks, replacing faulty parts, and patching walls or floors.
  • \n
  • Observe machinery and equipment during operation to detect any signs of malfunction. Report any issues to senior maintenance workers for further action.
  • \n
  • Assist in preventive maintenance tasks to avoid costly repairs and downtime.
  • \n
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained, cleaned, and stored after use.
  • \n
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and parts used.
  • \n
  • Always adhere to safety regulations and protocols, including personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • \n
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Read and comprehend simple verbal and written instructions, and can work in a team environment.
  • \n
  • Mechanical, technical, and fabrication skills, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • \n
  • Understanding of and the ability to abide by OSHA and environmental regulations.
  • \n

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, fumes or airborne particles, and temperature variations.
  • \n
  • Employees may frequently be required to sit, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl. They may lift and/or move up to 45 pounds without help.
  • \n
  • Walking and standing on the Plant floor.
  • \n

Education and Experience

    \n
  • High school diploma, GED, or vocational school.
  • \n
  • Completion of a certified maintenance program is preferred.
  • \n
  • One to three years of maintenance experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • \n
