Job Description:
The Senior SQL Support Engineer provides operational support for core SQL servers and applications. This position requires excellent technical skills to monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, design databases, and provide training. The engineer will also act as a liaison between IT and business partners.

Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
Investigating and resolving technical issues with SQL databases, including performance bottlenecks, errors, and security breaches.
Database Monitoring:
Tracking database performance, identifying potential problems, and proactively addressing them to prevent downtime.
Performance Tuning:
Optimizing SQL queries and database configurations to improve performance and efficiency.
SQL Server Administration:
Managing SQL Server instances, including user accounts, security settings, and backups.
Database Design and Implementation:
Participating in the design and implementation of new databases or modifications to existing ones.
Support and Training:
Providing support to developers, end-users, and other technical staff, and training users on database-related topics.
Data Quality Control:
Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data within the databases.
Liaison with Stakeholders:
Acting as a liaison between IT and business partners to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
Skills and Experience:
SQL Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of SQL (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and its various features and functionalities.
Database Management Systems (DBMS): Understanding of database management systems and their respective strengths and weaknesses.
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with database systems.
Performance Tuning and Optimization: Knowledge of techniques for optimizing SQL queries and database performance.
Database Design and Implementation: Experience in designing and implementing database solutions.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
