Job Description:

Role: Business Systems Analyst / Data analyst position (variable)

Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:
  • Someone who can help them find and transform the data - basically will be getting it pulled together ad then passing off to the PowerBI Developer to create dashboards and reporting
  • Someone to gather the data and give it to the powerbi developer they have already
  • Pulling from various data sources (unclassified excel workbooks, a lot will be infra data from solarwinds, meca, cisco ICE on the classified side, etc.)
  • Need to get a roll-up of the cost for all the elements used by the customer (exchange for example how much they're paying for the infra - storage, networking supporting, compute, etc.) so that is the reason for this need
  • Data sources: CSV, Native in ServiceNow ITOM, etc.
  • Using ServiceNow primary system - working with GlideFast to create that environment and use as single source of truth so that will be the main place they pull data from but need someone to get the level of detail they need etc.
  • Need someone who is hungry & humble - have to work between teams and with stakeholders and with some messy various data sources and be willing to do some of the grunt work around organization, etc.


Top/Must-have Skills:
  • ServiceNow exposure
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel #1 but Word, Exchange, etc. too)


Nice to haves/Preferred Skills:
  • PowerBI


Level of experience target (junior/mid/senior and/or years of experience): Junior - okay if they are a recent grad or someone who's been doing it for a few years etc. Don't need to be senior

Technical Environment: Microsoft shop

Education/Certifications: No requirements

Team Details: Will be put with the KM Section - don't fit into traditional IT/Ops roles: sit with PowerBI & ServiceNow teams and others around that.

Soft Skills: Strong communication, good organization skills, works well with others
