Job Description
An RPG developer with some experience on the IBMi platform
Requirements:
Education: BS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
Skills:
- Knowledge of ILE and Free Form RPG programming language.
- Knowledge of Web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and Ajax.
- Extremely detail oriented, proactive, motivated, results-driven self-starter that takes initiative and is willing to take ownership of a project.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively
- Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary
- Consistently Seeking and Learning New Technology
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Experience:
- 3 + years experience using ILE and Free Form RPG
- Experience using embedded SQL in RPG programs a plus
- 1 + years experience using RDI (Rational Developer for i) a plus
- Experienced with advanced programming techniques including stored procedures, service programs, database triggers, socket
- Experience developing web applications for the IBM i using the CGIDEV2 service program a plus
- Experience with Aldon (Rockets Software) change management a plus
