Electrical Engineer NPI (High Voltage)

Experience: 4 5 Years
Location: San Jose, CA (Onsite Only No Remote)

Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer (NPI) with strong hands-on experience in high-voltage systems to support new product introduction, testing, and manufacturing activities. This role is 100% onsite at the client location in San Jose, CA.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Proven experience with High Voltage circuits and systems

  • Strong background in power component selection for high-voltage applications

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement technical solutions for high-power testing

  • Design and build test fixtures for product validation and NPI activities

  • Hands-on experience using lab instruments such as:

    • Oscilloscopes

    • RLC analyzers

    • Power meters and related equipment

  • Create and maintain cable harness drawings using AutoCAD or similar tools

  • Prepare and manage Bills of Materials (BOM)

  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to:

    • Troubleshoot production issues

    • Provide engineering solutions and improvements

  • Support NPI from prototype through manufacturing release

Preferred Skills
  • Experience in manufacturing support and design-for-manufacturability

  • Strong problem-solving and documentation skills

  • Ability to work independently in a lab environment
